Upon booking, I’ll send you my family prep guide with tips for wardrobe and styling. Matching outfits are out - complimentary outfits are in! A cohesive look will bring your family into focus. Above all - everyone should be comfortable and feel like themselves. I’m happy to chat if you get stuck.

We’ll meet near the pier at Avila Beach. I’ll share the details upon booking.

It’s perfect - just enough time to capture the connection and love in your family without people getting antsy. We’ll photograph you family, smaller groups, and the kids individually.

I’ll have a backup plan if it’s raining. While we can’t control mother nature, we can control our reaction. We may have to pivot with another SLO adjacent location - I’ll definitely be in touch if the weather looks like it might be an issue.

I have a couple of favorite spots in Morro Bay and Montana de Oro that are easily accessible. I’ll be confirming the locations the weekend of 11/8.

A few days after your photoshoot, we’ll schedule a zoom call and I can share your gallery while you’re comfortable in your own home. You’ll select your favorite photos and place your order.

Your photoshoot includes two hand-edited digital files. You can add print and/or digital collections to your order.

While you can always purchase the whole gallery, I suggest that families select their absolute favorite portraits. These will rise to the top and make you smile every time to see them. I’ve found that a gallery o 100 files can be overwhelming and get lost on a computer drive. Let’s find your favorites and get them on your walls to enjoy everyday.

I photograph in color, but I’m gaga for black & white images. I often convert my portrait work to B&W to highlight the expression or form. Some photos speak to me in color and others demand to be B&W. Most of the time it’s a feeling.
